this scratching with a vertical trend, i.e. parallel to the height of the element, hollows out the surface to make it more rough and shaded, especially in one direction. The lines, combining with the vertical joints of a wall texture, greatly accentuate the homogeneity of the surface. Like the other hollowed-out shapes of texture, the stripes also introduce the shadow on the surface, articulate it and move it by varying the base color with respect to its smooth and natural version. Like all textures, this one too introduces a variation of surface and color that are particularly suitable for integrating imperfection, understood as virtue and value, into the surface.
